These terms apply to your use of Kanji My Name (the “Service”), available at kanji.kugainc.com. By using the Service, you agree to the terms below.
Kanji My Name is operated by Kuga Inc. (Japan). The Service turns a name into sound-based Japanese kanji (当て字, ateji) and renders it as downloadable calligraphy-style art, entirely in your browser.
Foreign names have no single official kanji spelling. The kanji the Service suggests are sound-based artistic interpretations, not official translations, and we make no guarantee of linguistic accuracy, naturalness, or cultural appropriateness for any particular use.
Thinking about a tattoo? A tattoo is permanent — please treat the generated kanji as a starting point, and have it reviewed by a Japanese speaker and your tattoo artist before any ink touches skin. Tattoos and other permanent uses are entirely at your own risk.
The Service — including the Premium Pack — is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee that the Service will remain available indefinitely.
The Premium Pack is a one-time digital purchase at the price shown on the site, processed by Stripe. The charge will appear as KUGA INC. on your card statement. Your unlock code is personal, works on any device, and is not for sharing or resale.
You may use the images you generate for personal, non-commercial purposes — including tattoos, gifts, and printing for your own home. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the generated images or the underlying designs.
Interested in commercial use? Contact us — individual licensing is available on request.
Kanji matching, art generation, and downloads all happen inside your browser. The names you type are never sent to a server, stored, or tracked by us.
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan.
